LIFEHOUSE PERFORMS IN CONCERT IN WEST PALM BEACH

SANTA MONICA, Calif., Oct. 27 (UPI) -- The U.S. rock 'n' roll band Lifehouse Tuesday announced its fifth studio album, "Smoke & Mirrors," will be released in December on Geffen Records.

The CD is to go on sale Dec. 8.

Its first single, "Halfway Gone" -- co-written by Lifehouse lead singer Jason Wade, Kevin Rudolf and producer Jude Cole -- hit radio and digital outlets Tuesday.

"'Smoke & Mirrors' showcases two sides of Lifehouse -- songs like 'Smoke & Mirrors,' 'Wrecking Ball' and 'Had Enough,' with guest vocals by Chris Daughtry, have a raw and stage-driven feel to them capturing the live, rock side of the band; a sound they had perfected after 10 years of solid touring," the band's label said in a news release. "While tracks like 'All In,' 'Here Tomorrow Gone Today' and the first single 'Halfway Gone' are songs sure to be heard on radio for years to come."
