SWINDON, England, Oct. 25 (UPI) -- Singer Morrissey is out of the hospital after collapsing on stage in Swindon, England, a hospital spokeswoman said Sunday.
An unidentified Great Western Hospital spokeswoman said the 50-year-old British singer was kept overnight after experiencing breathing difficulties and collapsing during a Saturday concert at Swindon's Oasis Leisure Center, the BBC reported.
Morrissey, whose full name is Steven Patrick Morrissey, was helped off the stage by two band members.
Citing an unspecified illness, the "Kill Uncle" singer has canceled multiple tour dates this year.
The BBC said Morrissey's tour is to begin in Europe in November, before nine performances in the United States.
Jillian Moody, who was at the Swindon show, told the BBC the singer did not look "comfortable" prior to his collapse.
"He kept putting his hand up to his mouth as if he felt sick or ... perhaps he was trying to hide something, but he didn't look particularly comfortable," Moody said.
