Touring company suing country star Tritt

NEW YORK, Oct. 24 (UPI) -- A touring company in New York alleges in a federal lawsuit that country music singer Travis Tritt owes it more than $418,000.

Clair Bros. Audio Enterprises alleges in a U.S. District Court lawsuit that Tritt's business company, Tritt Inc., paid only $11,888 on a $430,657 bill despite having received 65 invoices to date, the New York Daily News reported Saturday.

The alleged debt involving Clair Bros., which has done technical work for musical acts such as U2 and Justin Timberlake, dates back to a March 2006 contract.

Tritt Inc. representatives, as well as an assistant for the "Country Club" singer, did not comment on the lawsuit.

It was not specified if Clair Bros. is seeking additional damages in the lawsuit beyond the alleged debt.
