BURBANK, Calif., Oct. 23 (UPI) -- Katherine Jackson says she's not ready to watch "This Is It," a documentary showing her U.S. pop star son, Michael, rehearsing in the last weeks of his life.

Michael died June 25 at the age of 50 as he was preparing for a series of comeback concerts in London.

Katherine gave her first interview since Michael's death this week to her daughter, La Toya, an "Access Hollywood" guest correspondent.

Katherine, La Toya and her brother Jermaine attended Tuesday night's tribute to Michael on ABC's "Dancing with the Stars," of which Katherine and Michael were big fans.

Asked what Michael liked about the dance competition series, Katherine explained: "Well, you know Michael. He loves to dance and so he watched them because he loved to watch the dancers and especially the stars that are dancing because some of them can't dance a bit and some of them are very good. We used to talk about that together, too."

Katherine also said she enjoyed the tribute to Michael: "I loved it and I thought they did a really, really wonderful, beautiful job."

La Toya agreed and Jermaine added, "I felt great because to see the tribute through dance was just a great feeling."

Asked if she planned to see "This Is It," Katherine replied: "That's been a question they've been asking me. I don't think I can bear to look at it right now, but, eventually, in time, I will watch it."
