LOS ANGELES, Oct. 21 (UPI) -- The hip-hop act the Black Eyed Peas are to be the sole musical guests on the upcoming Victoria's Secret fashion show in New York, CBS said.

The event is to be broadcast Dec. 1 on the network.

"We are in the middle of a really defining time right now," Peas co-founder will.i.am said in a statement. "It's the end of the traditional era of how we experience and consume music and media."

Supermodels Alessandra Ambrosio, Miranda Kerr, Doutzen Kroes, Marisa Miller and numerous other Victoria's Secret Angels are to star in the holiday-infused lingerie runway show, which will also include red-carpet interviews, model profiles and a behind-the-scenes look at the making of the celebrated fashion show.

The event will also feature the $3 million Harlequin Fantasy Bra designed by renowned Italian jeweler Damiani and worn by Miller.
