NEW YORK, Oct. 20 (UPI) -- Chicago-born R&B singer R. Kelly's 10th studio album, "Untitled," has been given a December release date, JIVE Label Group announced Tuesday.

The Grammy Award-winner's latest single, "Religious," is hitting airwaves on the heels of his critically acclaimed U.S. tour. The CD will be released Dec. 1.

"Building the anticipation for the album are two back-to-back powerful singles," the record label said in a news release. "R. Kelly recently made music history with his current single, 'Number One,' featuring Keri Hilson, when the song became his 35th Top 10 single on Billboard's Hot R&B/Hip Hop Songs chart. He has now surpassed Nat 'King' Cole's record of having the most Top 10 hits on that chart."

For his new album, R. Kelly collaborated with rising producers like Infinity, Lil Ronnie and Chris Henderson. He recorded the album in Chicago and Atlanta, his label said.
