LONDON, Oct. 19 (UPI) -- The rock band Def Leppard has announced on its Web site it is canceling a series of planned North American concert dates "due to unforeseen personal matters."
The British band posted the announcement on its Web site Friday.
"Due to unforeseen personal matters, the third leg of Def Leppard's North American Tour, set to begin on Oct. 22, has been canceled," said a message posted on the Web site Friday.
"We know how truly blessed we are to have such committed fans," the statement said. "That's why we've agonized over this decision. Even if just a single concert, we don't take canceling shows lightly, but unfortunately life's commitments need to be the priority."
Ticket refunds are available at the point of purchase, the band said.
