Actress Shailene Woodley was disappointed to learn her scenes had been cut from "The Amazing Spider-Man 2," leaving the character out until the third film.

Director Marc Webbs said he had decided to focus the plot on Peter (Andrew Garfield) and Gwen (Emma Stone) to streamline the film, and there was no word on whether Woodley would be back for "Spider-Man 3."

So when Canadian actress Sarah Cadon confirmed she would be joining the four-movie franchise, people began to wonder: Had Mary Jane been recast?

But The Wrap film reporter Jeff Sneider shot down the rumors:

"The Amazing Spider-Man 2" is due out in April 2014.
