"Check out the new #BlackPanther poster and tune in to game four tonight to see the world premiere of the teaser trailer! Witness the legend," the company wrote. The trailer will air Friday during Game 4 of the NBA finals.

Black Panther takes place after the events of Captain America: Civil War (2016). The movie will follow T'Challa as he establishes his sovereignty after returning to his home country of Wakanda in the wake of father T'Chaka's death.

"We meet him as his world is changing," producer Nate Moore told Complex this week. "He has returned home to Wakanda, and T'Challa has to navigate potentially becoming the new ruler of his nation."

"He never intended to become the king for years because he figured his dad would be around for a long time," he explained. "T'Chaka's death is, in a lot of ways, the catalyst for everything that's happening in Black Panther."
