March 21 (UPI) -- Production is now underway on the animated movie Mariah Carey's All I Want for Christmas is You. Carey, 47, narrated and executive produced the film based on her classic 1994 holiday song. The movie will be released on Blu-ray, DVD, Digital HD and On Demand this winter from Universal 1440 Entertainment, a production entity of Universal Studios Home Entertainment, a press release said.

"I am thrilled to be able to bring the story of the song to new generations of families," Carey said in a statement.
"Like the song itself, Mariah Carey's All I Want for Christmas is You is destined to become an enduring family holiday classic," added Glenn Ross, general manager and executive vice president for Universal 1440 Entertainment. "It is packed with family fun, holiday spirit, poignant moments -- and of course, Mariah Carey!"
The voice cast will also include Breanna Yde, Henry Winkler, Lacey Chabert, Phil Morris, Laya Hayes and Keiko Agena. The movie was directed by Guy Vasilovich from a script by Temple Mathews.
