'Split' is the No. 1 movie in North America for a third week

Feb. 5 (UPI) -- The James McAvoy-led thriller Split is the No. 1 movie in North America for a third weekend, earning an additional $14.6 million in receipts, BoxOfficeMojo.com announced Sunday.

Coming in at No. 2 with $13 million is Rings, followed by A Dog's Purpose at No. 3 with $10.8 million, Hidden Figures at No. 4 with $10.1 million and La La Land at No. 5 with $7.5 million.

Rounding out the top tier are Resident Evil: The Final Chapter at No. 6 with $4.5 million, Sing at No. 7 with $4.08 million, Lion at No. 8 with $4.01 million, The Space Between Us at No. 9 with $3.8 million and xXx: The Return of Xander Cage at No. 10 with $3.7 million.
