LOS ANGELES, Oct. 18 (UPI) -- Michael Fassbender brings a video game series to life in the second trailer for 20th Century Fox's upcoming adaptation of Assassin's Creed.

The clip released Tuesday, features Fassbender as Callum Lynch, a new character created for the film as he travels back in time to 15th Century Spain to explore his ancestor's memories.

Being used as a test subject by the evil Abstergo Industries, Lynch is quickly thrown into a centuries-old conflict between the Assassins and Templars.

Using the game's signature hooded armor and hidden wrist blades, Lynch fights off enemies back in time and in the present as an uprising at Abstergo Industries begins.

The footage notably recreates the game's epic battles and high-flying Parkour stunts as Fassbender is seen taking an aerial dive off the top of a monument.

"I'm beginning to like this," he mentions to co-star Marion Cotillard.

The official Assassin's Creed Twitter account also shared a new poster for the film featuring past and present versions of Fassbender with the tagline, "Your destiny is in your blood."
