Captain Marvel is set for release March 8, 2019.

The actress was also seen this weekend at Comic-Con in the first trailer for the eagerly awaited adventure picture Kong: Skull Island, which co-stars Tom Hiddleston, Samuel L. Jackson and John Goodman.

"Kong: Skull Island reimagines the origin of the mythic Kong in a compelling, original adventure from director Jordan Vogt-Roberts," said a synopsis accompanying the trailer on YouTube where it has gotten more than 250,000 views since Saturday. "In the film, a diverse team of explorers is brought together to venture deep into an uncharted island in the Pacific -- as beautiful as it is treacherous -- unaware that they're crossing into the domain of the mythic Kong."

Larson, 26, is best known for her roles in Room, Short Term 12 and 21 Jump Street.
