SAN DIEGO, July 21 (UPI) -- Zoe Saldana and Sofia Boutella turned heads on the red carpet Wednesday.

The 38-year-old American star and 34-year-old Algerian actress attended the San Diego Comic-Con premiere of Star Trek Beyond at the Embarcadero Marina Park South.

Saldana and Boutella both stunned in delicate dresses with sheer detail. Saldana was all smiles in pale blue next to husband Marco Perego, while Boutella wore a short white dress with nude heels.

Chris Pine, Karl Urban, John Cho, Zachary Quinto and Simon Pegg also walked the red carpet, along with director Justin Lin and producer J.J. Abrams. The cast and crew paid tribute to late star Anton Yelchin, who died at age 27 in June, at the event.

"As wonderful as this is to be here with all of you, and to be celebrating the 50th anniversary of Star Trek, there is something wrong tonight," Abrams said. "There is something missing tonight, there is someone missing tonight."

"Anton Yelchin should be here," the director said. "Anton's parents are here, Irina and Victor. We love their son and if I could ask everyone to have a moment of silence for our dear friend, Anton."

Star Trek Beyond opens in theaters Friday. The sequel follows two previous reboot installments, Star Trek (2009) and Star Trek into Darkness (2013), which Abrams produced and directed.
