Oscars ceremony set for Feb. 26; nominations to be announced Jan. 24

LOS ANGELES, June 30 (UPI) -- The 89th Oscars ceremony is set to air live on ABC on Feb. 26.

The gala is to take place at the Dolby Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center in Hollywood.

The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences said nominations for the prestigious film awards will be revealed Jan. 24.

Spotlight was named Best Picture at this year's Oscars, which was hosted by Chris Rock.

Leonardo DiCaprio won Best Actor for The Revenant, Brie Larson was named Best Actress for Room, Mark Rylance took home the prize for Best Supporting Actor for Bridge of Spies and Alicia Vikander earned the accolade for Best Supporting Actress for The Danish Girl.
