LOS ANGELES, June 28 (UPI) -- Alexander Skarsgard and Margot Robbie turned heads at The Legend of Tarzan premiere Monday.

The 39-year-old Swedish actor and 25-year-old Australian actress walked the red carpet at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles, along with co-stars Samuel L. Jackson, Christoph Waltz and Djimon Hounsou.

Skarsgard looked dapper in a pinstriped navy suit and an embroidered tie. The accessory complemented Robbie's Mandarin-inspired dress, which also featured floral embroidery.

The Legend of Tarzan will see an adult Tarzan (Skarsgard) leave London with his wife, Jane, (Robbie) to return to the jungles of Africa. The character is lured back under false pretenses and must contend with the evil army captain Leon (Waltz).

"I was trying to get a little sexy loincloth [to wear]," Skarsgard joked in an earlier press conference. "I was trying to convince [director] David Yates for weeks when we were doing prep."

"The way the script is written, it opens in London, [Tarzan's] Victorian and he's acclimated to life in London, and then he goes back [to the jungle]," he explained. "David was like, 'It doesn't make sense. That little loincloth's got to go.'"
