LOS ANGELES, June 25 (UPI) -- The comic-book adaptation Deadpool 2 is scheduled to begin filming in early 2017, producer Simon Kinberg has confirmed.

"The guys, [Paul] Wernick and [Rhett] Reese, are working on the script, and we hope to have a script very soon," Kinberg told Collider.com at the 42nd annual Saturn Awards. "We hope to shoot the movie some time at the beginning of next year."
