NEW YORK, May 25 (UPI) -- Emilia Clarke appears ecstatic to finally get some screen time with her former Games of Thrones co-star Charles Dance in their new film Me Before You.

Clarke plays Daenerys Targaryen on HBO's popular medieval fantasy series, while Dance portrayed Tywin Lannister until he was killed off in Season 4 by his son, Tyrion, who is now Daenerys' adviser.

Despite being part of the same fictional world, Daenerys and Tywin never had a scene together and the paths of the actors who play them have only crossed "once maybe, once or twice during promotional things," Clarke told UPI in New York, while publicizing Me Before You, the project that gave her the opportunity to act opposite Dance.

"Charlie is a dreamy, dreamy man," Clarke continued. "At the end, when he finished filming, he was like, 'Darling, this is brilliant and you're brilliant,' and I was tearing up. I was like, 'Charles Dance just said all these great things.' So, he was just dreamy and charming and un-Tywin-like."

Set in contemporary, rural Britain, the film casts Clark as Lou, a bubbly young woman hired to care for Will, a handsome, wealthy quadriplegic, played by Sam Claflin. Dance plays Will's well-meaning father Steven.

The cast also includes Jenna Coleman, Brendan Coyle, Matthew Lewis, Janet McTeer and Joanna Lumley. Me Before You is set to open June 3.
