HOLLYWOOD, May 6 (UPI) -- The Weinstein Company has enlisted the help of Mel Brooks, Nicole Kidman, Zendaya and Meryl Streep to voice characters in the upcoming animated film The Guardian Brothers.

The film, released in China in January, will be dubbed in English with the help of the four stars. The film will be up for sale at this year's Cannes Film Festival, according to Deadline.

Streep will voice the movie's narrator, Mel, while Zendaya plays a young girl named Raindrop. Kidman will voice Raindrop's mother.

Titled in China as The Little Door Gods, and directed by Gary Wang, The Guardian Brothers tells the story of a mother-daughter duo as they face the threat of losing their longtime family business.

"We are thrilled that [TWC co-chairman Harvey Weinstein] and the Weinstein team share our enthusiasm for this very Chinese film," director Wang said in a statement. "It has been amazing working with them. I feel that our story has found a perfect home, and hope that the families around the world will enjoy the film."
