LOS ANGELES, April 30 (UPI) -- Actress Sophie Turner posted on Instagram a photo of her and her co-star Tye Sheridan on the set of the upcoming movie X-Men: Apocalypse.

"#FlashbackFriday to that time Cyclops and I went shopping at the mall and found our favorite singer's album (pre 1989, of course,)" read Friday's message.

The post captioned a snapshot of Turner as her character Jean Grey, sporting 1980s-style clothes and browsing a record store's racks with Sheridan, who is wearing sunglasses and holding an album that says: "Dazzler. Sounds of Light and Fury."

The vinyl disc's cover art shows a blonde female pop star who resembles Taylor Swift, an artist who had a blockbuster album called 1989.

It was unclear if the post was meant to tease Swift's actual involvement in the project or if Turner simply saw a similarity between Swift and the singer on the Light and Fury album cover or if fans are expressing some wishful thinking that Swift might play a super-powered mutant.

One Instagram user gushed: "OH MY GOSH I AM GOING TO DIE OF HAPPINESS IF TAYLOR JOINS THE X-MEN," while another fan responded: "What's wrong with Taylor being Dazzler... As much as I dislike Swift I think she can pull the part off fantastic. She fits the real life persona."

Neither Swift nor director Bryan Singer -- both prolific social-media users -- have commented on Swift's casting buzz.
