LOS ANGELES, March 17 (UPI) -- Jack Huston and Toby Kebbell star in the latest trailer for Paramount's Ben-Hur, which follows the story of familial betrayal and a thirst for vengeance.

The clip, released Wednesday, shows the plight of Judah Ben-Hur (Huston) after being betrayed by his brother Messala (Kebbell) and accused of treason. After escaping slavery, he is found by Ilderim (Morgan Freeman) and trained to face his brother in a deadly chariot race.

The trailer packs in glimpses of Ben-Hur's story, which includes his time of slavery on a ship, several Biblical motifs and the titular character's coming across the crucifixion of Jesus.

Directed by Timur Bekmambetov, Ben-Hur is the latest remake of Lew Wallace's novel, Ben-Hur: A Tale of the Christ, which was adapted for films in 1907, 1925 and 1959.
