'Suicide Squad' cast release tattoo-themed SXSW posters

AUSTIN, Texas, March 10 (UPI) -- The cast of Suicide Squad has released a set of tattoo-themed character posters for each of the respective villains they play in the upcoming film.

The artwork is being released as part of a promotional tie-in with the upcoming South by Southwest film festival opening on Mar. 11 in Austin, Tex.

"Hey Puddin's, leaving our mark on #SXSW come and get it! #SuicideSquad #HarleysTattooParlour," star Margot Robbie captioned her Harley Quinn poster on Instagram complete with a baseball bat and the word "rotten" written across a heart.

"The #SuicideSquad is coming to #SXSW let's see who's bad enough to get inked," wrote model Cara Delevingne who stars as the magical witch Enchantress in the film. "If you're rolling thru 3SXSW stop by #HarleysTattooParlour and get inked. [Expletive] dare ya," actor Jai Courtney added with some ink inspired by his character Boomerang featuring with his signature weapon.

The #HarleysTattooParlour hashtag refers to Robbie having previously given the cast and crew of Suicide Squad matching "SKWAD" tattoo's during production.

Other posters released on the film's official Instagram account include tattoo images for Jared Leto's take on the Joker and Will Smith's turn as the mercenary Deadshot.

Suicide Squad opens in theaters Aug. 5. Recently, it was reported that a sequel was already in the works at Warner Bros. that would reunite director David Ayer with certain members of the cast.
