Joe Manganiello to play Hefty in animated 'Smurfs' movie

CULVER CITY , Calif., Feb. 13 (UPI) -- Joe Manganiello, Jack McBrayer and Danny Pudi have joined the voice cast of the cartoon movie, Smurfs: The Lost Village, Sony Pictures Animation announced.

The actors will play Hefty, Clumsy and Brainy respectively in the movie, which is set for release March 31, 2017.

They join the already announced Demi Lovato as Smurfette, Rainn Wilson as Gargamel and Mandy Patinkin as Papa Smurf.

Kelly Asbury is directing the picture.
