Krang revealed in 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2' Super Bowl trailer

NEW YORK, Feb. 8 (UPI) -- Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon movies released a new trailer for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 that aired during Super Bowl 50.

The new footage features the iconic heroes in a half shell, Raphael, Donatello, Michelangelo, and Leonardo exhibiting their trademark humor and fighting skills while discussing the most important traits of being a ninja.

The evil Krang, a fan-favorite villain from the Turtles '80s animated series makes an appearance during the clip taking on the band of brothers on top of a skyscraper.

Other newcomers for the sequel including Arrow star Stephen Amell as the hockey stick wielding vigilante Casey Jones, and monstrous henchmen Bebop and Rocksteady played by Gary Anthony Williams and WWE Superstar Sheamus, also make brief appearances along with Megan Fox as April O' Neil.

Directed by Jonathan Liebesman, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 opens in theaters June 3, 2016.

In January, Activision and Platinum Games confirmed the existence of the long-rumored video game,Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan by releasing its first gameplay trailer. The title will seemingly coincide the release of the film later this summer.
