BEVERLY HILLS , Calif., Feb. 4 (UPI) -- Netflix says it plans to wrap production in the Dominican Republic next week on its action/comedy True Memoirs of an International Assassin, starring Kevin James, Andy Garcia and Rob Riggle.
Director Jeff Wadlow began shooting the movie in Atlanta in November.
"A mild-mannered would-be author gets mistaken for a killer-for-hire when his fictional novel about an international assassin is published as a true story," a synopsis said. "The book is a huge success and he is suddenly kidnapped and taken to Venezuela and forced into an assassination plot."
Featuring Zulay Henao, Maurice Compte, Kelen Coleman, Andrew Howard, Leonard Earl Howze, Yul Vasquez and Kim Coates, the film is expected to premiere on the streaming service later this year.
James, 50, is best known for his work on the TV sitcom The King of Queens, as well as in the Paul Blart and Grown Ups movies.
