LOS ANGELES, Jan. 12 (UPI) -- Pamela Anderson was surprised to hear about the Baywatch movie.

The 48-year-old actress, who played C.J. Parker on the original TV series in the 1990s, discussed the reboot with E! News at Sean Penn's Help Haiti Home benefit over the weekend.

"I didn't think [the] movie was ever going to happen," Anderson admitted. "I guess it makes me feel a little old." The star's son Brandon Lee, who accompanied her to the event, showed his support by adding, "No one's my mom."

Anderson previously discussed the film on The View, saying, "They've been talking about this for 15 years. I'll believe it when I see it. I'm not a big fan of remakes and I kind of want to leave it in the past. If it's an image of Baywatch of me, I kind of want you to remember that one."

Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron will co-star in the reboot with Kelly Rohrbach, who will take over the role of C.J. Parker. Anderson hadn't heard of the model and aspiring actress, who recently split from actor Leonardo DiCaprio.

Baywatch debuted on NBC in 1989, and ran for 10 more seasons in syndication. The series, which followed a group of Los Angeles County lifeguards, was known for its eye candy actors, including Anderson, David Hasselhoff and Nicole Eggert.

The forthcoming Baywatch movie will also feature Alexandra Daddario, and is slated for release in 2017. Anderson will next star in The People Garden with Dree Hemingway, and will be on the cover of the final nude issue of Playboy.
