CAPETOWN, South Africa, Nov. 18 (UPI) -- Milla Jovovich shocked fans by previewing "Old Alice" Wednesday on Instagram.

The 39-year-old actress shared a photo of herself in full makeup as a dramatically aged version of the character on the Resident Evil: The Final Chapter set in Capetown, South Africa.

"#nomakeup JK! Thank you to @christinaslashes, @andredinoboy, #federicacastelli and @kerry_skelton_ who worked for over 4 hours at 5 am this morning to create 'Old Alice' for our scenes today!" Jovovich captioned the snapshot.

"I will post more pics of the process later!" she promised. "Plus a sexy selfie (not for the weak of heart!) BTW, for all those who think this look is for the end of the movie, it's not! #residentevilthefinalchapter #capetowndiary."

Resident Evil: The Final Chapter commenced production in September, and Jovovich previously posted photos with Ali Larter, William Levy and Rola on set. The actress' stunt double, Olivia Jackson, was severely injured while filming a motorcycle scene Sept. 5.

Jovovich's husband, director Paul W.S. Anderson, will return to helm the new installment. The movie opens in theaters Jan. 27, 2017, and co-stars Wentworth Miller as Chris Redfield, Sienna Guillory as Jill Valentine and Michelle Rodriguez as Rain Ocampo.
