'Martian' is No. 1 at the North American box office

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 25 (UPI) -- Matt Damon's space drama The Martian is the No. 1 movie in North America, earning $15.9 million at the box office this weekend, Box Office Mojo announced Sunday.

Coming in at No. 2 is Goosebumps with $15.5 million, followed by Bridge of Spies at No. 3 with $11.4 million, The Last Witch Hunter at No. 4 with $10.9 million and Hotel Transylvania 2 at No. 5 with $9 million.

Rounding out the top tier are Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension at No. 6 with $8.2 million, Steve Jobs at No. 7 with $7.3 million, Crimson Peak at No. 8 with $5.6 million, The Intern at No. 9 with $3.9 million and Sicario at No. 10 with $3 million.
