Carey Mulligan, Joel Edgerton to receive Hollywood Film Awards

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 13 (UPI) -- Carey Mulligan and Joel Edgerton are to be honored at next month's Hollywood Film Awards, dick clark productions announced.

Mulligan will receive the Hollywood Actress Award for her work in Suffragette, while Edgerton will be presented with the Hollywood Breakout Actor Award for his performance in Black Mass.

Adam McKay will be recognized with the Hollywood Breakthrough Director Award for The Big Short; screenwriters Tom McCarthy and Josh Singer will share the Hollywood Screenwriter Award for Spotlight; and the animated film Inside Out, directed by Pete Docter, will take home the Hollywood Animation Award.

The 19th annual Hollywood Film Awards ceremony is to take place at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills on Nov. 1.
