LONDON, Oct. 3 (UPI) -- Universal Pictures tweeted a photo of Renee Zellweger reprising her iconic title role in Bridget Jones's Baby to mark the start of the romantic comedy's production in England.

The image shows Zellweger as her British heroine, this time clutching an iPad instead of her cherished diary.

The big-screen adaptation of Helen Fielding's newspaper columns is the follow up to 2001's Bridget Jones's Diary and 2004's Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason, both of which co-starred Hugh Grant and Colin Firth as Bridget's vastly different love interests.

Firth and Patrick Dempsey will appear in the latest romantic adventure, which is being directed by Sharon Maguire. Firth will once again play Mark Darcy, while Dempsey's character has not yet been revealed.

Zellweger, 46, also is known for her performances in Jerry Maguire, Chicago and Cinderella Man. The actress won an Oscar for her work in 2003's Cold Mountain, but in recent years has appeared in films only sporadically. Her changing looks have sparked rumors of plastic surgery, however she famously responded to the speculation, telling People magazine in 2014: "Perhaps I look different. Who doesn't as they get older? Ha. But I am different. I'm happy."
