'Mission: Impossible -- Rogue Nation' tops the North American box office

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 2 (UPI) -- Mission: Impossible -- Rogue Nation is the No. 1 movie in North America, after earning $56 million during its first weekend at the box office, Rentrak announced.

Coming in at No. 2 is Vacation with $14.9 million, followed by Ant-Man at No. 3 with $12.6 million, Minions at No. 4 with $12.2 million and Pixels at No. 5 with $10.4 million.

Rounding out the top tier are Trainwreck at No. 6 with $9.7 million, Southpaw at No. 7 with $7.5 million, Paper Towns at No. 8 with $4.6 million, Inside Out at No. 9 with $4.5 million and Jurassic World at No. 10 with $3.8 million.
