LOS ANGELES, July 30 (UPI) -- Johnny Depp intimidates as Whitey Bulger in a new Black Mass trailer.

The 52-year-old actor brings the real-life gangster to life in the preview, which follows Bulger's rise to power in the 1970s. The notorious criminal and his Winter Hill gang built an empire in Boston, Mass., before he became an FBI informant for 30 years.
