'I Am Chris Farley' documentary trailer released

NEW YORK, June 29 (UPI) -- The first trailer for the documentary about the late Chris Farley, I Am Chris Farley, was released on Monday.

Farley died in 1997 at the age of 33, due to a drug overdose. He's been remembered or his groundbreaking humor ever since.

The comedian rose to fame as a Saturday Night Live cast member in 1990.

BuzzFeed released the first look of the film about the comedian's life, which will feature commentary from friends and SNL alumni including David Spade, Adam Sandler, Bob Saget, Christina Applegate, Bob Odenkirk and more.

In the documentary, fans will see Farley's famous sketches, films and clips from his childhood that morphed him into the comedian he was.

I Am Chris Farley is set to open in theater July 31 and will be available on VOD August 11.
