BRISBANE, Australia, May 21 (UPI) -- Johnny Depp's rep denied the actor walked off the Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales set Thursday.

Publicist Michael Singer issued a statement amid rumors Depp was leaving location to be with wife Amber Heard. News outlets reported the 51-year-old actor was headed home to "salvage his marriage" to the 29-year-old actress.

"I can't go into detail on our filming schedules or the movements of individuals but I can tell you that nothing in that report has any relation to reality," Singer said. "Mr. Depp has been filming on schedule. It's business as usual, with all participants working."

A production spokesman for Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales confirmed, "Filming continues as scheduled and [Depp] remains in Australia. Last night he filmed as usual so that's also completely false."

The sequel marks Depp's fifth appearance as Captain Jack Sparrow in the movie franchise. The film is directed by Joachim Ronning and Espen Sandberg, and co-stars Orlando Bloom, Javier Bardem, Geoffrey Rush and Kaya Scodelario.
