Channing Tatum strips down in new 'Magic Mike XXL' trailer

The sequel is directed by Gregory Jacobs and opens in theaters July 1.

LOS ANGELES, May 6 (UPI) -- Channing Tatum stars in a new Magic Mike XXL trailer released Wednesday.

The 35-year-old actor returns as Michael Lane, aka Magic Mike, a former male stripper, with Joe Manganiello as Big Dick Richie. The preview sees the pair reunite with the Kings of Tampa to perform at a stripping convention in Myrtle Beach.

Magic Mike XXL is a sequel to Magic Mike (2012), and co-stars Kevin Nash, Adam Rodriguez, Gabriel Iglesias, Andie MacDowell, Amber Heard and Jada Pinkett Smith. Gregory Jacobs will helm the film, with original director Steven Soderberg as editor and cinematographer.
