LOS ANGELES, March 3 (UPI) -- Marvel's latest Avengers: Age of Ultron poster features Jeremy Renner looking ready for battle as his character Clint Barton/Hawkeye.

The eagerly awaited superhero ensemble picture is due out in theaters May 1.

"The Avengers face their biggest threat yet in the villainous Ultron (James Spader)," says a synopsis on the Marvel website. "Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) must join Iron Man (Robert Downey, Jr.), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Captain America (Chris Evans) and the rest of Earth's Mightiest Heroes to save the world from total destruction."
