Will Ferrell, Kevin Hart star in red band 'Get Hard' trailer

The film marks Idiocracy screenwriter Etan Cohen's directorial debut.

LOS ANGELES, March 2 (UPI) -- Will Ferrell and Kevin Hart star in a new, red band trailer for Get Hard.

Ferrell portrays James King, a businessman sentenced to 10 years in a maximum security prison. The character hires Darnell Lewis (Hart) to teach him how to survive the ordeal, but falsely assumes Darnell has experience as an inmate.

The preview sees the pair rap along to Ol' Dirty Bastard hit "Got Your Money," Lewis urge his charge to challenge three men at a park, and King receive a lesson from a character played by Matt Walsh. Alison Brie, Edwina Findley and Craig T. Nelson will also appear in the film.

Get Hard is directed by Etan Cohen, a screenwriter known for King of the Hill, Tropic Thunder and Idiocracy. The movie marks Cohen's directorial debut, with Ferrell and frequent collaborator Adam McKay (Anchorman) as producers. The film opens in theaters March 27.

Ferrell last portrayed Eric Jonrosh on IFC miniseries The Spoils of Babylon, and is scheduled for James Franco feature Zeroville and Zoolander sequel Zoolander 2. Hart will reprise Ben Barber in Ride Along 2, and host a Comedy Central roast of Justin Bieber on March 30.
