Will Smith's 'Focus' is No. 1 at the North American box office

The film, which earned $19.1 million, has unseated Fifty Shades of Grey, the chart-topper for the previous two weekends.

LOS ANGELES, March 1 (UPI) -- Will Smith's con-man comedy-drama Focus is the No. 1 movie in North America this weekend, Rentrak announced Sunday.

The film, which earned $19.1 million, has unseated Fifty Shades of Grey, the chart-topper for the previous two weekends.

Coming in at No. 2 at the U.S. and Canadian box office for the period of Feb. 27-March 1 is Kingsman: The Secret Service with $11.8 million, followed by SpongeBob Squarepants: Sponge Out of Water at No. 3 with $11.2 million, Fifty Shades of Grey at No. 4 with $10.9 million and The Lazarus Effect at No. 5 with $10.6 million.

Rounding out the top tier are McFarland, USA at No. 6 with $7.8 million, American Sniper at No. 7 with $7.7 million, The DUFF at No. 8 with $7.2 million, Still Alice at No. 9 with $2.7 million and Hot Tub Time Machine 2 at No. 10 with $2.4 million.
