LOS ANGELES, Jan. 27 (UPI) -- Melissa McCarthy is reportedly confirmed for Ghostbusters III.

Director Paul Feig tweeted a photo of the 44-year-old actress, Kristen Wiig, Leslie Jones and Kate McKinnon on Tuesday. Feig failed to caption the picture, but sources say McCarthy has signed on, with the other three women in negotiations.

McCarthy has been linked to the project for months, with Rebel Wilson and Emma Stone also rumored for roles. She and Wiig previously collaborated with Feig on the 2011 comedy Bridesmaids.

Feig announced he will helm the reboot in October 2014, and revealed the movie will star an all-female cast. Katie Dippold will write the script, with Ghostbusters and Ghostbusters II director Ivan Reitman as producer.

McCarthy last appeared with Ghostbusters star Bill Murray in St. Vincent, and is scheduled for new Feig comedy Spy. Wiig will portray Annie Montrose in Ridley Scott sci-fi drama The Martian, and provide a voice role for Sausage Party.

Jones and McKinnon currently star on NBC sketch comedy series Saturday Night Live. Both actresses will appear with Wiig, Zach Galifianakis and Owen Wilson in new Jared Hess (Napoleon Dynamite) comedy Masterminds on August 14.
