Chris Pratt rumored for 'Indiana Jones' revival

The actor previously drew lookalike comparisons to original "Indiana Jones" star Harrison Ford.

LOS ANGELES, Jan. 27 (UPI) -- Chris Pratt is reportedly being considered for Indiana Jones.

Fans are aflutter over a Deadline report the 35-year-old actor may star in the next franchise film at Disney. Pratt has been a fan favorite for the role for months, and drew comparisons to original star Harrison Ford when the Jurassic World trailer debuted in November 2014.

Pratt's rep and Disney have not addressed the rumor. Variety reporter Justin Kroll responded to the news on Twitter, saying the actor was unaware of any negotiations, and suggesting Bradley Cooper and Chris Hemsworth are also in the running.

Pratt is known for portraying Andy Dwyer on NBC comedy Parks and Recreation. He recently appeared as Peter Quill, aka Star-Lord, in Marvel movie Guardians of the Galaxy, and will star as Owen in Jurassic World on June 12.
