Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson to host National Christmas Tree Lighting

The event is to take place Dec. 4 on the Ellipse at President's Park, one of America's 401 national parks.

WASHINGTON, Nov. 26 (UPI) -- Married Hollywood couple Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson are to host the 92nd annual National Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony in Washington Dec. 4.

The announcement was made Wednesday by the National Park Service and the National Park Foundation.

Wilson will sing during the program. The musical lineup also includes Ne-Yo, Steve Miller, Chely Wright, Fifth Harmony, Patti LaBelle, Nico & Vinz, and The Tenors.

The event is to take place on the Ellipse at President's Park, one of America's 401 national parks. It will air on public television throughout the month of December.
