Hugh Jackman, Levi Miller star in first photos from 'Pan'

LOS ANGELES, Nov. 24 (UPI) -- Hugh Jackman and Levi Miller star in the first photos from Pan.

The 46-year-old actor sports a mustache, manicured beard and armor as the pirate Blackbeard, while Miller is dressed casually as the orphan Peter Pan.

Pan is directed by Joe Wright (Atonement), and co-stars Garret Hedlund as James Hook, Amanda Seyfried as Mary and Leni Zieglmeier as Wendy Darling. The film explores the origin story of Peter Pan, and will see Blackbeard, not Hook, act as the main villain.

Pan is scheduled for release July 17, 2015. Jackman last appeared as Wolverine in X-Men: Days of Future Past, and is attached to a number of other projects, including Broadway 4D, Chappie and The Greatest Showman on Earth.
