'Night at the Museum 3' debuts new trailer with Robin Williams

The feature marks one of the late actor's final film roles.

LOS ANGELES, Nov. 13 (UPI) -- Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb has released a new, action-packed trailer.

The preview sees Theodore Roosevelt (Robin Williams), Jedidiah (Owen Wilson), Octavius (Steve Coogan), Lancelot (Dan Stevens) and others do their best to help museum night watchman Larry Daley (Ben Stiller) save the tablet that magically brings the characters to life.

Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb is directed by Shawn Levy, and preceded by Night at the Museum (2006) and Night at the Museum: The Battle of the Smithsonian (2009). The feature marks one of Williams' final film roles; the actor died by suicide at age 63 in August.

Skyler Gisondo also stars as Larry's son Nicky Daley, with Rami Malek as Ahkmenrah, Ben Kinglsey as Akmenrah's father, Ricky Gervais as Dr. McPhee, Rachael Harris as Madeline Phelps, Patrick Gallagher as Attila the Hun and Mizou Peck as Sacagawea.

Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb opens in theaters December 19.
