Lili Simmons, David Arquette to star in 'Bone Tomahawk'

The film is written and directed by novelist-turned-director S. Craig Zahler.

LOS ANGELES, Sept. 30 (UPI) -- Lili Simmons and David Arquette have joined the cast of Bone Tomahawk.

The 22-year-old actress and 43-year-old actor join Kurt Russell, Patrick Wilson (Watchmen), Matthew Fox (Lost) and Richard Jenkins (Six Feet Under). Kathryn Morris (Cold Case), Evan Jonigkeit (Girls), Sean Young (Blade Runner) and Sid Haig (The Devil's Rejects) will also star.

Bone Tomahawk is written and directed by S. Craig Zahler, and will be distributed in the U.S. by Magnolia. The film follows a group of settlers who journey into dark territory after a band of cannibalistic troglodytes take captives from their small western town. Simmons will portray Samantha O'Dwyer, the female lead and wife to Wilson's Arthur O'Dwyer, while Arquette and Haig play brigands. Russell will star as Sheriff Hunt, with Morris' character as his wife.

Simmons is best known for her roles as Rebecca Bowman on Banshee and Beth on True Detective. The actress will appear as Michelle in Jamie Marshall film The Guilty Innocent.
