NEW YORK, Sept. 18 (UPI) -- Aubrey Plaza will voice Grumpy Cat in Lifetime holiday movie Grumpy Cat's Worst Christmas Ever.

The 30-year-old Parks and Recreation star celebrated the news by posting a Grumpy Cat meme on Twitter.

Grumpy Cat, whose real name is Tardar Sauce, came to fame after owner Tabatha Bundesen's brother posted a photo of the pet on Reddit. The picture went viral due to the cat's grumpy expression, and the feline has since inspired merchandise and made dozens of media appearances.

Grumpy Cat's Worst Christmas Ever will star Tardar Sauce as a lonely cat living in a mall pet shop. She is repeatedly passed over by customers, and develops a negative outlook on life until 12-year-old Chrystal (Megan Charpentier) discovers she can talk and falls in love with her.

Grumpy Cat's Worst Christmas Ever will air November 29 on Lifetime. Plaza will return as April Ludgate for a seventh and final season of Parks and Recreation this fall.
