LUXEMBOURG CITY, Luxembourg, Sept. 15 (UPI) -- Danny Glover and Alec Baldwin have been cast in Andron: The Black Labyrinth.

The new sci-fi thriller follows a group of people who wake up in a dark and claustrophobic maze. The men and women have no memory of who they are or how they got there, and must work together to survive.

Andrea Iervolino and Monika Bacardi of Luxembourg production company AMBI Pictures will produce the film, with Francesco Cinquemani as writer and director. Michelle Ryan (EastEnders), Skunk Anansie singer Skin, Jon Kortajarena (A Single Man), Gale Harold (Queer as Folk) and Leo Howard (G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra) will also star.

"The story of Andron is enough to excite sci-fi fans worldwide, but when you add actors like Alec Baldwin and Danny Glover, the meter rises even higher," Iervolino said in a statement. "We're very excited to add this film to our production slate and eager to get to work on a film we believe has great breakout potential."

Production on Andron is scheduled to begin this month in Malta and Italy. Glover will appear in a number of films later this year, including Toxin and Killing Winston Jones, while Baldwin will star in Torrente 5.
