Jennifer Lopez stars in new trailer for 'The Boy Next Door'

LOS ANGELES, Sept. 11 (UPI) -- Jennifer Lopez stars as a recently divorced woman who has an affair with her young neighbor in the new trailer for The Boy Next Door.

The film, directed by Rob Cohen, tells the story of a woman's torrid relationship with her neighbor (Ryan Guzman). But the plot goes from sexy to scary when the man develops an obsession with Lopez's character.

The erotic thriller marks the 45-year-old singer's return to cinema since the 2003 flick Parker. Lopez is scheduled to appear in a number of movies next year, including Lila & Eve and the animated film Home.

Also starring Kristin Chenoweth and John Corbett, The Boy Next Door hits theaters on Jan. 23, 2015.
