NEW YORK, July 22 (UPI) -- Emma Stone and Colin Firth discussed what it was like to work together on Woody Allen's upcoming film Magic in the Moonlight during a promotional interview for the movie with The Daily Beast.

Stone, 25, and Firth, 53, may seem like an odd coupe to cast due to their age gap, but according to Marlow Stern, the publication's entertainment editor, the duo's casual bickering makes them look like "a couple in an Allen film."

"I've seen Love Actually about 18 times. I've seen Bridget Jones too many times now," Stone said on the subject of Firth's films. "You were so upset with me! I live-texted Colin the plot of Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason a few months back while I was watching it. You were very upset with me, if I remember correctly. I talked him through what he was doing."

"Thank you," the Oscar-winning actor responded. "She's talking through my back catalog via text! I might decide to not revisit stuff in the past, and then you get a good friend saying, "Oh, when you were doing this you had this and that expression on your face."

On the subject of whether or not the two believe in ghosts, both actors said they where skeptics. Firth followed his statement on the subject with a quote, to which Stone replied: "You never don't have a quote for something. I know that's a double negative."

"No, that is a grammatically correct double negative!" said Firth. "Am I just a quote-bore?"

"I like you very much... just as you are," responded the Amazing Spider Man actress, quoting Bridget Jones yet again.

After discussing how secretive Allen is about his scripts and what it was like to shoot the film in the French Riviera, Firth took a jab at his co-star and said "Can we not be paired up for these anymore?"

Magic in the Moonlight is set to hit theaters Friday.
