Gary Oldman, Kevin Costner to star in 'Criminal'

The film is directed by "The Iceman" director Ariel Vromen.

LOS ANGELES, July 11 (UPI) -- Gary Oldman is in talks to join Kevin Costner in Criminal.

The film is directed by Ariel Vromen (The Iceman), and centers on a dead CIA agent's memories. His secrets and skills are implanted into an unpredictable and dangerous prison inmate in an attempt to stop a diabolical plot. Oldman would portray a CIA chief.

Douglas Cook and David Weisberg, who co-wrote The Rock and Double Jeopardy, wrote the script for Criminal. The movie is currently in development at Millennium Studios, and also stars Eric Bana.

Oldman will next appear in Dawn of the Planet of the Apes on July 11. He is also scheduled to direct and star in Flying Horse in 2016, while Costner will appear in McFarland and Black and White later this year.
