LOS ANGELES, July 7 (UPI) -- Magic in the Moonlight released new stills of Emma Stone and Colin Firth this week.

The upcoming Woody Allen film is set during the 1920s on the French Riviera, and stars Firth as Stanley, a magician tasked with unmasking psychic Sophie (Stone) as a fraud. Stanley himself masquerades the character Wei Ling Soo on stage, and he finds himself falling in love with the charming but potentially counterfeit spiritualist.

Magic in the Moonlight is scheduled to debut less than a year after Allen's critically acclaimed Blue Jasmine hit theaters. The movie opens July 25, and also stars Hamish Linklater, Marcia Gay Harden and Eileen Atkins. The director started filming a new, untitled movie with Stone and Joaquin Phoenix in Newport, R.I., on Monday, and the actress will appear in Babel director Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu's Birdman later this year.
